About FilesSnap
Hi, I'm Minhaz, and I made FilesSnap.
Why I built it
Your phone keyboard can do a lot, but it can't give you a cursive name, bold letters or a cool symbol like ꧁ or ☬. Those characters exist, they're just not on the keyboard. So people end up searching through random websites, copying from screenshots or asking friends to send them a name they saw somewhere.
I wanted one simple place where anyone can type their text, see it in lots of stylish fonts, and copy the one they like. No app to install, no account, and no paying for something that should be free. That's FilesSnap.
Made with gamers in mind
A lot of people who need fancy text are gamers. In battle royale games like Free Fire, PUBG Mobile and Mobile Legends, your name is the first thing other players see in the lobby, on the kill feed and on the leaderboard. Players want a name that looks different, with stylish letters and symbols, but the game keyboard doesn't have any of them.
That's a big reason FilesSnap exists. You can type your gamer name here, pick a style, copy it and paste it into your game. Just remember that every game has its own rules about which characters are allowed, so test your name before you get attached to it. I wrote some tips about that in best fonts for gaming usernames.
What you can do here
- Turn any text into more than 40 styles, including cursive, bold, gothic, bubble, small caps and glitch text.
- Make a stylish name for your Instagram bio, WhatsApp, TikTok, Facebook or Discord.
- Find tips and real screenshots in the guides, so you know what your text will look like before you post it.
Everything is free, and it always will be. The site may show ads to help pay for hosting, but you'll never have to pay to copy a font.
How the tool works
FilesSnap doesn't use real font files. It uses special Unicode characters that look like different fonts. Because they're characters and not settings, they keep their style when you paste them into another app. Everything happens inside your own browser, so the text you type isn't sent to me or saved anywhere.
How I choose the styles
I try every style on common phones and apps. If a style keeps showing up as empty boxes or breaks in popular apps, I take it out. When people ask for new styles, I add the ones that work well. The site keeps changing based on what people actually use.
Recent updates
FilesSnap is a work in progress, and I keep improving it. Here's what changed recently:
- October 26, 2026: Added the cool symbols tool with gaming symbols, letters, numbers, runes and more, a password generator, a Gaming tab with 16 name designs, a ★ Saved tab for favorite styles and a Recently copied list. Merged a few pages that showed the same tool, and rewrote the gaming, Unicode and italic guides.
- October 25, 2026: New design with a cleaner layout and a 3-line menu on phones. Rewrote most tool pages and guides, added real screenshots, added Zalgo glitch text, and fixed a bug where styles only appeared after typing.
- October 2026: FilesSnap launched with the font generator and the first guides.
