How to use FilesSnap
Updated October 2026
FilesSnap turns plain text into fancy fonts that you can copy and paste anywhere. It is free, needs no account and runs in your browser. Follow these five steps. Each picture shows what you will see on screen.
1Type your text
Click the big box at the top and write your name, a caption, a gaming username or a short bio. The box starts with the words Your Name so you can see results straight away. Press Inspire me for a random phrase, or Clear to start again.
2See your styles
As you type, dozens of stylish results appear below the box. Each card shows the style name, such as Circled, Fraktur, Script, Bold, Small caps, Strikethrough, Zalgo or Upside down, with your text written in that style. There are more than 60 styles in total.
3Pick a category
Use the tabs to filter the list. Gaming has 16 ready-made name designs for games like Free Fire and PUBG, such as wings and clan tags. Cool shows bubble and square letters. Fancy shows gothic and double-struck letters. Cursive shows handwriting style. Bold shows heavy letters. Small shows small caps, superscript and subscript. Glitch adds lines, hearts or stars. Decor wraps your text in sparkles and brackets. The last tab, โ Saved, shows the styles you've saved.
4Tap Copy
Press the Copy button, or tap the text itself. The button turns green and says Copied, so you know the text is on your clipboard. Your last few copies appear under the text box as Recently copied, so you can copy them again with one tap. Tap โ next to any style to save it to the โ Saved tab. Saved styles and recent copies are stored only on your own device.
5Paste it anywhere
Open Instagram, WhatsApp, Facebook, X, TikTok, YouTube, Discord, Snapchat or a game profile and paste. These styles are Unicode characters, so they travel with the text and work on almost every app.
More tools on FilesSnap
Cool symbols: the cool symbols tool has almost a thousand symbols that aren't on your keyboard, like ๊ง ๊ง, ไบ, โฌ, runes and bubble letters. Type your name, tap symbols to add them, then copy. Its Gaming tab opens first.
Password generator: the password generator makes strong, random passwords inside your browser. Nothing is saved or sent.
What can you use it for?
Creators use stylish text for bios, captions, reels and video titles. Gamers use it for usernames, clan names and profile tags. Students use it for notes and posters. Friends use it to make birthday wishes, festival greetings and chat messages feel more personal. Small shops use it for simple social media posts and status updates.
Helpful tips
Keep text short for bios and usernames, because some apps limit the number of characters. Test the pasted text in your app before you publish it, since every platform handles Unicode a little differently. Letters from A to Z and the numbers 0 to 9 work best. Hindi, Arabic and emoji are not converted. Use plain text for important information such as phone numbers, addresses and links, because screen readers may not read styled text well.
Fixing common problems
If you see empty boxes after pasting, the app does not support that style, so try another card. If a style looks slightly different on a friend's phone, it may use a different system font, but the characters are the same. If the Copy button does nothing, tap the text instead, or select it and copy it by hand. If a username is rejected, try a simpler style such as Bold or Small caps, which many sites accept.
